Since she was a small child, Tamara has been studying music and performing in front of audiences. She began doing dance recitals and musical theater and fell in love with the stage. While growing up she continued to study voice, drama, piano, and various instruments. She was also an avid dancer, studying ballet, jazz and tap with Gotta Dance Studios.
She studied music at Wayne State University with world-renowned musicians and has performed at venues all across the globe, including in Ireland, Germany, Prague and Carnegie Hall in New York City.
She currently stays busy directing, vocal directing, choreographing, and performing with local groups such as Downriver Actors Guild, Downriver Youth Performing Arts Center and Southgate Community Players. She currently performs with a cappella group, 2nd St Sound, based out of the new 2nd Street Performing Arts Center. Most notably, the group performed as the opening act for Foreigner at the Fox Theatre.
