Since she was a small child, Tamara has been studying music and performing in front of audiences. She began doing dance recitals and musical theater and fell in love with the stage. While growing up she continued to study voice, drama, piano, and various instruments. She was also an avid dancer, studying ballet, jazz and tap with Gotta Dance Studios.
She studied music at Wayne State University with world-renowned musicians and has performed at venues all across the globe, including in Ireland, Germany, Prague and Carnegie Hall in New York City. She has also performed at Detroit venues, such as the Fox Theatre, Masonic Temple, Magic Stick, and Majestic, with various musical acts.
Tamara is currently the Artistic Director of the Downriver Actors Guild at 2nd St Performing Arts Center in Wyandotte. There she stays busy directing, vocal directing, choreographing, costuming, and helping mold the artistic vision of the group.
Her unique skillset and performance experience allow her to take on a wide range of creative endeavors. She also has a network of musicians and performers she can call on when needed to help fill gig requests.
